Ambiance/Atmosphere
5/5

Situated on the harbour at Margate with beautiful beach views, this is a truly charming location and is reflected in the equally quaint interior.  A relaxed atmosphere and beachy style décor meant that we immediately felt comfortable and welcome; we took a candle lit table by the window so we could enjoy the gorgeous view.

Customer Service
4/5

Well staffed establishment, service was fast and the waiting staff were very attentive. Everyone we encountered had a good knowledge of the menu and was able to specify which foods were suitable for specific dietary requirements. It was lovely to meet the restaurant owner and learn about her passion for catering for a plant based diet; creating interesting and original options for vegetarian and vegans to choose from.

Food & Drink
5/5

The choice was extensive; there was not only a lunch menu to choose from, but also a blackboard displaying the a' la carte options. There were several vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dishes to choose from and many were able to adapted as well. For my main I ordered baby aubergine spiced veggies, chickpeas and minted tomatoes. This was a simple but tasty dish, light and fresh with a great combination of flavours; the minted tomatoes adding a lovely freshness. Josh ordered the marinated halloumi kebab with butter-bean and almond mousse and chips.  The chips were chunky and delicious and the halloumi was tasty, toasted to perfection and worked beautifully with the butter-bean and almond mousse; a delicious smooth and creamy accompaniment.
For dessert we were really keen to try the Raw Vegan Chocolate Torte and we were not disappointed! This treat was rich and flavourful with a perfectly smooth texture and thin crisp base- it would give some raw vegan specialty cafe's and restaurant a run for their money! The second dessert was a giant slice of pear, parsnip and ginger cake, this was moist and had a great subtle combination of flavours.

Interesting and unique café/restaurant offering something for everyone including a spectacular range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Really tasty food, great vibe and a beautiful location.
