Conveniently located, this charming B&B is just a short walk from Broadstairs station which takes under an hour and a half to get to from St Pancras. Situated off a quiet street in the centre of the small town, you are a few steps away from the bus stop which has regular buses to Margate. In the town there are several cafés, shops and restaurants to explore and although there are no vegetarian eateries many will accommodate dietary needs upon prior request.  The beautiful sandy beaches of Viking bay are just a couple of minutes walk from the  house and there is a beautiful coastal cycle trail that spans 32miles and covers the coastal areas of Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate as well as heading inland to explore some of the surrounding villages. We chose to walk the trail from Viking Bay to Margate which was thoroughly beautiful. There were magnificent views of the white cliffs, sandy beaches and stunning countryside with plenty of stops to enjoy a picnic whilst taking in the picturesque surroundings.

Customer Service:
5/5

Julie and Neil (the owners of Copperfields) were fantastic hosts welcoming us into their beautiful abode and making us feel at home instantly. They had extensive knowledge of the  area and were happy to advise us on transport as well suggesting things to do and places to visit. They were very accommodating hosts; we felt very comfortable and relaxed and were able to reach them whenever we needed. They were very aware of guests needs without ever being intrusive, which enabled us to enjoy ourselves and settle in happily.

The Room:

We were assigned the Beach Room for our stay. A spacious and charming room with views over the park and a large en-suite with shower.  The décor had a beach theme, it was simple yet pleasant and everything was immaculately clean. Storage is aplenty and there is a seating area by the bay window for you to read some of the magazines or leaflets provided and enjoy a cup of complimentary tea or coffee. The room came with hot drink making facilities including a Nescafé coffee machine, a variety of tea and milk (non dairy milk can be provided upon request). Other facilities which came with the room included a Free View TV, Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, fan and hair dryer. The bathroom was spotless and well equipped with eco-friendly, cruelty-free toiletries and lots of fresh towels which can be changed daily if you stay for multiple nights. The bed itself was large and extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep.

Food & Drink:

For breakfast we enjoyed a variety of smoothies, juices, tea, coffee, cereals, fruits and cooked options. I sampled both the green juice and smoothie which were sweet, tasty and refreshing. I followed this with a selection of the cereals available including gluten free muesli, corn flakes and granola accompanied by a variety of fresh fruits and almond milk. Josh ordered a cooked breakfast of fried egg on toast; there are also vegan cooked options available. The toast rack was always full and the egg was perfectly cooked. To accompany our breakfast we enjoyed filter coffee and almond milk. An impressive, generous selection of vegetarian and vegan breakfasts available to suit everyone's taste.

A charming, homely B&B perfect for a weekend get away; set in a great location offering outstanding value for money, comfortable rooms, accommodating hosts and a varied delicious breakfast.
