People of today believe that if it isn’t real then the quality of the product will be bad and won’t try or believe otherwise.

In the vegan world, however, there are so many amazing and cruelty free brands using synthetic leathers made from cottons to Pinatex (pineapple skin) and you wouldn’t ever know the difference between them, while maintaining great style at no comprise and this is something that Hurtig Lane in Barcelona pride them self’s on.

Launched in the summer of 2016, Hurtig Lane doesn’t comprise on style or quality, offering a full range of fashionable vegan watches, jewellery and accessories.

Michael the founder decided to start the brand after watching the documentary Earthlings and was horrified to discover the truth behind the leather industry, he immediately started looking in to leather alternatives.

Before this Michael designed and made leather handlebar grips for bikes, so it shows the power that watching documentary’s like earthlings can have on a person and the changes it can make on an ever-growing fashion industry

Hurtig Lane have only been around for 5 months but are making their mark on vegan fashion, with new styles joining their collection, with classy gent’s watches using synthetic leather straps and classic full face 12 hour designs their styles can match almost any fashion combination from dressed up suits to the dressed down beach look and the same goes for the women’s, classy and stylish, yet simple and relaxed carrying you through adding that touch of elegant to any outfit through day and night.

As I have said in the past, I am not a big fan of gold/gold colour items, I went off my fashion rail and ended up getting some gold cufflinks, that I fell in love with(getting married to them next year) all jokes a side, they are a really nice pair and since getting them I’ve been looking other such items that are small in size but really added to the outfit.

I am not one for lots of bling or jewellery, I have worn a ring probably once in the last 10 years, although for some reason I still have 5 rings in my jewellery box that are pretty new, we can talk about that another time and why we buy so much crap we never wear, but as for the piece I did buy was this watch, and there it is pretty damn gold looking, there is something so appealing about this watch, I got it without actually thinking what I would pair it with, it more of a casual watch to me, I wouldn’t match it with a suit but more jeans and jacket, the watch its self is a full metal jacket, where the strap clips together, it’s a nice light watch and battery operated, the face is in black and that works well for me, my last post about gold was about matching black with gold, so this is perfect already, I can’t stand chunky chains and to much bling bling.

As for the styling of the piece, I would wear, blue/black jeans, contrasting top, white or black and then a dark jacket, either blue or black, that way the watch contrasts well , pair the outfit with some clean trainers or flat soles slip ons and you are ready to go.

When it comes to perfumes and fragrances it can take a long time choosing your perfect scent and there are your main stream retailers that sell all the easy and known brands like Boss and diesel, but to get the best scent for you,  you want something rich and customised and there are a lot of places online and on the high street that can make a scent for you, that’s all well and said you now have your fragrance.

The Problem comes when you want to change your scent, if like me you have a few different fragrances in the cupboard and change it up depending on where your going and what you’re doing, your soon come to realise that your clothing, even after washing it can cling on to scents and can also be discoloured from your fragrances, the guys at Vanacci have come up with a great solution to this problem, wear your fragrance different and wear it as stylish jewellery, now the idea of wearing a scent as jewellery is nothing new as it has been done for hundreds of years now, but it is the design and the way it is being done now that makes it so great, Vanacci have some great necklaces and wrist wear that gives you a great accessory with the added benefits of wearing your scent but without the damaging effects.

I picked up the Geo black agate bracelet, a sleek bracelet of cut black stones, with duo lockstones and a blue stone detail between them, the inspiration for the design is naturally formed crystals, geo shimmering faceted black agate stone, set into the lockstone material and modelled to represent a cracked Geo which revels a hidden gem stone, a kyanite blue stone gemstone, believed to bring focus and clarity.

The unique lockstone material captures your scent and holds in for 7 times longer, meaning you only need a few sprays to get long last scent, its very simple to do in 3 easy steps.

1.invert the lockstones and apply your favourite scent, watch as the liquid saturates and is absorbed.

2. leave upright for a few minutes to allow the scent to be fully infuse the lockstone, this is so you don’t end up damaging your clothing.

3.the scent will locked into the stone and through micro absorbent structure  your scent will be gradually released through contact with the air and skin.

Tip. It is best to use the same fragrance as the lockstones really do lock in the scent and can be hard to get out once in there, but you do wish to remove the scent try wash the stones a few times until the scent isn’t as strong then apply a new scent.

 Time stops for no ones, if it wasn’t for the measure of time where would we be?  When it comes to watches there are great watches and then there are just watches, I believe a great watches is so much more than just the materials it is made from, but the history behind the watch, where it comes from, where it is going and why it became what it is, you can think of big brands but I am talking about the little ones, they are big on the market but work small and independent.

You only have to take a look at their website to see they have used another of Scotland’s famous  productions within their watches, that being tweed , some of the great features with their watches is you can completely design the watch you want, from the face, to the strap choice which includes tweed in a number of colours. If you like you can choose from a selection of pre made designs and also get extra straps if you fancy changing it up, in addition to a great watch you can also get it custom in graved at no extra charge and comes with a 36 month warranty , that’s is a lot to take in but judging from the quality of these watches, they are built to last a life time, I choose this gun metal case with a white face and camo green strap with a matte finish , plus an additional strap in Tan, if you’re thinking about doing the same, remember that you want the colours to contrast well, so a tan strap wouldn’t work with a blue face and dark case, keep it neutral if you plan on changing it up.
