AMBIENCE
This popular run restaurant located near Kings Cross is serving up authentic Japanese food and that’s right, its all vegan, the main restaurant is a well lite cafe style arrangement but that soon changes when you go into the basement you feel like you have just sat down for a meal in Japan its self, With dim lighting making for what would be a great space and vibe if it wasn't for the fact it’s very small and a bit of a squeeze
FOOD
The food is a Modest take on 'veganising' Japanese cuisine. The menu is vast and full of dishes you wouldn't have heard of at your usual sushi chain restaurant. The Vast selection of dishes may make deciding on your meal difficult but Itadakizen have some set menu's to choose from, which will help, Sushi is always a safe option for those who don’t know Japanese food , but we wasn’t to impressed with the sushi, it didn’t have the kick that a restaurant of this calibre should have, compared to the hundreds of fast food sushi restaurants and bars around London , the sushi lacked in flavour and texture, how ever not all is lost as the the hot food being served up was something different and full of flavours, marinated tofu and veggie spring rolls went down a treat and you could say these are an easy on the eye option, over all itadakizen was a welcoming place with a balance of good and bad , we would recommend trying the menu options you have never heard or tried before
