Popular stall in the middle of the O2 centre owned by Italians making a range of authentic pasta dishes fresh from scratch-put together in front of your eyes! There are five main pasta options; meat tortellini, vegetarian tortellini, Gramigna, Gnocchi and Trofie. Many of the pasta dishes are also suitable for vegans including the gnocchi and Trofie options apart from the meat tortellini and some vegetarian dishes. Your pasta of choice can be topped with either cream and mushrooms, Bolognese, pesto (which is suitable for vegans) or tomato sauce. We tried the vegetarian tortellini with pesto and the Trofie with tomato sauce. Portions were generous and food delicious. The vegetarian tortellini had a great texture and was cooked to perfection with tonnes of flavour. The Trofie was also cooked beautifully al dente and the tomato sauce was rich, fresh and sumptuous.
The tortellini cup is clearly trying to cater for a range of dietary requirements; they also had a gluten free Parmijana Di Melanzane. There was an interesting range of sides and desserts to accompany or follow your main dish. We tried a pesto and mozzarella Tigelle; this is a flat stone baked bread disc filled with your desired choice of stuffing. For dessert options they had the choice of nutella stuffed Tigelle and vanilla custard balls, however no gluten free or vegan choices were available.
Great quick stop for some good Italian food made fresh and from scratch catering for a variety of dietary requirements.
